Description
Poole Quay in the early 1960’s was very busy, the customs house was on hand to check the coming and goings of freight brought to and from the quay by the little steam engines. Shunting is taking place overseen by the shunter with his red flag, and the “Embassy” paddle steamer is just pulling away from the jetty with a trip tp Brownsea island. This is a truly lovely timepiece and will be remembered by residents of Poole and visitors alike.
